Arrows
On this page is listed our current range of arrows.
All Frēo arrows are individually checked, straightened and fletched by hand, and finished with a
water resistant seal for longevity.
The fletchings are all natural feathers, and are available in a wide range of colours to suit your
personal style or chosen group colours.
Warbow Arrows
Frēo Warbow arrows are a heavy duty arrow made for bows with a high draw weight.
The shafts are 3/8” diameter and made from Poplar or Ash. They are all checked for grain and straightened.
The 8” long fletchings are all individually cut by hand, glued and thread bound onto the
shaft along the entire length of the feather and the nock is reinforced with an insert of
Purpleheart wood.
These arrows are sold without arrowheads. A variety of hand forged arrowheads are available from Olivemead Armoury.
Other shafts also available, as well as 1/2” bobtails and barrelled. Prices upon request.
Price: £70 per 6 arrows, £135 per 12 arrows.
Target Arrows
The Frēo target arrow is an excellent and reliable arrow with consistent shooting results.
These arrows are all individually checked for grain, straightened and then weight and spine matched to your requirements.
The 6” fletchings are all individually cut by hand, glued and thread bound onto the shaft along the entire length of the feather and the nock is self cut into the shaft. Also available with a horn reinforced nock.
The point is a modern bodkin type which will not damage targets. We use top quality Cedar shafts, but other woods such as Pine, Ash or Spruce are available. Price upon request.
Price: £50 per 6 arrows, £90 per 12 arrows.
With horn reinforced nock: £60 per 6 arrows, £115 per 12 arrows.
Re-enactment Blunts
The Frēo blunt arrows have been crafted from the most durable materials and have been time tested to give you excellent arrows that can withstand the most rigorous shooting conditions.
The four fletchings are 4.5” uncut feathers, and the shafts are a 3/8” diameter in Poplar or Pine which are straightened but not spine or weight matched.
The nock is self cut into the shaft and the tip of the arrow is protected by a rubber blunt.
The blunts are always left at 32” in length, unless otherwise requested.
These blunts are suitable for use in most re-enactment groups, but please check with your group before ordering.
Price: £4.75 each, £55 per 12 arrows, £200 per 48 arrows.
Quiver
This quiver is a traditional style, made from coarse unbleached linen and hand stitched vegetable tanned leather.
It can be worn open at the hip, or slung across the back when closed.
The quiver has a leather spacer to hold 12 arrows.
Also available in a version to hold 24 arrows, and a version without the leather spacer for blunts and broad heads etc.

Ordering
When you have chosen the types of arrow you would like to order, send an email to
info@freostore.com. Please include your desired choice of fletching colours, usually one colour for
the two hen heathers and a contrasting colour for the cock feather.
If ordering target arrows, you will also need to include the draw length and draw weight of the
bow they will be used with.
We will reply with a total price, and a completion date for your order.
Turnaround times for all arrows are currently 4-6 weeks.
